Expansion of women’s economic opportunities
Today, for the entrepreneurs of Chernihiv oblast, an informational meeting “Expanding Women’s Economic Opportunities” was held on the peculiarities of expanding the economic opportunities of female business owners in international markets.
The event was organized by the Chernihiv CCI in conjunction with the Canadian-Ukrainian CUTIS project.
Vira Povorska, gender expert in the CUTIS project, presented a gender analysis of small and medium-sized businesses in five industries (clothing, footwear, sweets, furniture and IT services), which described the gender barriers for SMEs, which women lead.
Vice-president of the Chernihiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Larisa Tsygan, shared the prospects of entering the Canadian market and business features, preferences and trends.
Oksana Trukhan, owner of TM Ursula Jewelry, spoke about the features of Etsy’s sales as a strategy for entering foreign markets.
Tetyana Lisun, Head of Postal Services Ukrposhti delivered a presentation “From Dream to First Sales” and provided an algorithm for selling a seller from Ukraine to sell abroad with minimal logistics costs.
